Day 5 of the Adventure Calendar!
On the menu today: Notable Characters.
- Unique or eccentric villagers
- Traveling merchants or regular visitors
- Local heroes or troublemakers
- Notable relations, tensions, secrets between these characters
I wrote a whole bunch for this, giving them stats and aligning them on the previously mentioned axis of Chaos/Neutral/Order. Also, each has a Goal and an Agenda.
- Corvus the Star-reader: Constantly mutters predictions about celestial alignments. Surprisingly accurate about mundane matters. His grand prophecies remain cryptic.
- Jasper Three-Purses: Conniving merchant, reliable in his unreliability and greed. Buys anything of value, no questions asked.
- Helena “Sandstorm” Val-Limentis. Trains local youths in basic defense and leads the militia when threats arise. Treats desert raiders and Imperial patrols with equal suspicion.
- “Shadow” Malik. Runs a “second-hand goods” shop for things that “fell of a caravan”.
- Darius Val-Limentis. Broad-shouldered man, runs the Desert Rose tavern. Known for watering down Imperial wines, but serving excellent local spirits.
- Kestrel. Skilled armor- and weaponsmith. Distinctive Imperial forge-mark tattooed on her forearm, marking her as a trained Imperial smith.
- Yara the Herb-Witch. Elderly woman with sharp eyes and an unconventional knowledge on medicine.
- Karim “Hawk-Eye”. Former desert scout, extremely knowledgeable in survival skills. Knows every dune and rock formation for miles.
- Sanira Val-Limentis. Short, muscular woman with ritual scars marking years of service of the well spirits.
And a whole bunch of this:
But more on that when I share the whole document again!
