Out Now: DEEP DELVE

My post about dungeon types stirred something in me, and now, well, there’s this!

“Far, far below the deepest delvings of the Dwarves, the world is gnawed by nameless things. Even Sauron knows them not. They are older than he. Now I have walked there, but I will bring no report to darken the light of day.”

— Gandalf, The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

The Stygian Library by Emmy ‘Cavegirl’ Allen is a fantastic ruleset and setting for procedurally generated adventure.

The worldbuilding and implied lore are evocative, the theming exquisite – but also sometimes hard to fit into existing campaigns. Combine that with a long dream of bringing a Mines of Moria-esque experience to the tabletop, and what you get is…

DEEP DELVE

Made for Block, Dodge, Parry and fully compatible with Cairn, DEEP DELVE features a fallen dwarven kingdom, now simply known as the Deep Dark

Players will set out to recover treasure, explore endless dark and dangerous rooms, fight off hordes of goblins, and perhaps even cross blades with the Deep Doom, unearthed by dwarven greed.

Wardens will find a ready-to-use module, including tons of inspiration and guidelines for their own tweaks.
