I realized I didn’t announce this on this blog yet, in all the excitement: BLOCK, DODGE, PARRY – FULL PDF IS OUT NOW!
Additionally, it is currently still available for its previous price – for a bit more than 24 hours!
I cannot overstate how proud and pleased I am of the final product. Gwen Clark did wonders with the layout – and I cannot recommend her and her work enough.
What’s Next?
The System Reference Document
In the coming days, the old SRD will be replaced by the new, full SRD of Block, Dodge, Parry version 2. I might start dropping the “2” – as this is the final, complete, full vision of the core rules.
Print Edition
I’ve already done a few test runs with the final PDF. This was done by just uploading the PDF to a local print shop, and the result is quite stunning already. The core file is A4 (for that premium feel), but the typeface also allows for A5 printing.
I’ve prepared the final PDF on Lulu, and ordered test prints of both a fancy, hardcover A4 and a ring-bound, cheaper A5 version, for all preferences. I will update the blog (and every other channel available to me) once that’s out!
…And Beyond
In a way, we’re only just getting started. I look forward to creating sample settings, adventures and dungeons, and keep supporting BDP for years to come.
There might be more stuff like Sail, Swab, Scurvy, but the rules themselves are done.
